Invitations have been sent to 120 top male Asian golfers from 34 nations for the second Asian Amateur Championship, with a berth in the 2011 Masters awaiting the winner.
The Asia Pacific Golf Federation, Augusta National Golf Club and the Royal and Ancient Golf Club announced invitees Wednesday to the 72-hole tournament, to be played October 7-10 at Kasumigaseki Country Club in Saitama, Japan.
South Korean Jeong Jin, the world's top-ranked amateur, leads the entries.
Two players from each federation member nation were selected plus four more from host nation Japan and others based on world amateur rankings.
The winner will play in the next major championship next April at Augusta National and both the winner and runner-up will be given a berth in the international final qualifying tournament for next year's British Open.
Last year's inaugural edition of the event, created to boost Asian golf, was won by South Korean teen Han Chang-won in China last November.
